Stuffed Vegitables- Bharwa Tamater Recipe

 Bharwa Tomato Recipe:The taste of stuffed vegetables is somewhat different. Whenever you feel like making any stuffed special, then try making stuffed tomatoes. They become very tasty.

Ingredients

  • Tomato - 8 (medium size) (600 grams) 
  • Potato - 2 (150 grams) boiled 
  • Paneer - 100 grams 
  • Oil - 2-3 tbsp 
  • Green coriander - 2 tbsp (finely chopped) 
  • Asafoetida - 1 pinch 
  • Cumin - 1/4 tsp 
  • Ginger paste - 1 tsp 
  • Green chili - 2 (finely chopped)
  • Raisins - 1 tbsp 
  • Cashew - 5-6 
  • Red chili powder - 1/4 tsp 
  • Turmeric powder - less than 1/4 tsp 
  • Garam masala - less than 1/4 tsp \
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp 
  • Salt - 1 tsp or as per taste

Instructions to make Stuffed Tomato Recipe

  • Wash the tomatoes and dry them till the water dries up. 
  • After this, cut a little bit from the top of the tomato with a knife and remove it like a cap. 
  • Take out the pulp from inside the tomato with the help of a knife, keep the pulp in a separate bowl. Prepare all the tomatoes by hollowing out the pulp in the same way. 
  • Grind the pulp with a mixer and make a fine paste.
  • Cut the cashews into 5 to 6 pieces. 
  • Peel the potatoes and chop them finely. 
  • Crumble the paneer and save some paneer for grating later.
  • Heat a pan and put 1.5 tbsp of oil in it. 
  • When the oil is hot, add cumin seeds and brown them, after that add asafoetida, ginger paste, green chilies, coriander powder, turmeric powder and stir the spices. 
  • Add half the pulp, red chili powder and 1/2 tsp salt to the spices and mix. 
  • Cook it till the oil separates from the spices.chopped potatoes and mash while mixing. 
  • After the potatoes are well roasted with spices, add crumbled paneer and green coriander to it. 
  • Mixing them well, cook for 1 to 2 more minutes. 
  • Pithi for stuffing in tomato is ready. 
  • Take out the stuffing in a bowl. 
  • Fill the stuffing in the hollowed tomato with a spoon and keep it on a plate. 
  • You can cook these tomatoes in the following ways.
  • In a heavy bottomed pan Heat the wok. Put some oil in it and spread it all around. Put tomatoes in a wok on low flame, pour a table spoon of oil over the tomatoes. 
  • Cover the tomatoes and cook on low flame for 3 minutes. 
  •  Later, carefully turn their sides with the help of tongs so that they become slightly soft. 
  • Cover them and let them cook for 2 minutes. 
  • Check again and cook them while rotating and from other side as well.
  • Tomatoes take 7 to 8 minutes to cook and they are cooked by turning every 2 minutes. 
  •  Stuffed tomatoes are ready. 
  • Carefully take them out one by one from the pan and keep them in a plate. 
  • Put some green coriander over them and garnish with grated cheese. Stuffed tomatoes can be served with chapati, parantha, naan.

Suggestion 

  • If you do not want to add cashews and raisins, then do not add them, but they increase the taste of the stuffing. 
  • To roast tomatoes, take a heavy bottomed pan or pan with a plain surface. 
  • Keep the fire low while roasting tomatoes, otherwise the tomatoes will burn from below. 
  • Be careful while turning the tomatoes (change the side) as tomatoes may burst when soft. 
  • After taking out the tomatoes, the spices left in the pan can be used to make other vegetables. 
  • If you want to make them with gravy, then prepare the gravy and later put the stuffed tomatoes in the gravy and cover them and cook on low flame for 7 to 8 minutes.
