Ingredients 

  • Bottle Gourd - 1
  • Sugar – 1 cup (100 grams) 
  • Mawa/Khoya – 1/2 cup (50 grams) 
  • Milk - 1 big cup 
  • Cardamom powder - 1 tsp 
  • Ghee - 2 tbsp 
  • Dry fruits – 2 tbsp

Instructions

  • Lauki ka halwa is not only beneficial for health, it is also delicious to eat.
  •  To make Lauki ka Halwa, first take the bottle gourd and peel it.
  • When the gourd is peeled, grate it and keep it aside.
  • Now take a pan and put 2 tbsp ghee in it and heat it on the gas.
  • During this, keep the gas flame on medium.
  • When the ghee becomes hot and melts,
  • add grated bottle gourd to it and fry.When the bottle gourd starts turning light brown while frying,
  • add a big cup of milk and cook it.
  • Let it cook until the milk dries up almost completely.
  • Now add sugar and mawa to it and mix both of them well with bottle gourd.
  • After this, cook the halwa while stirring for about ten minutes.When the mawa is well roasted, add cardamom powder
  • and chopped dry fruits (cashews, almonds, pistachios) to it and turn off the gas.
  • In this way your delicious gourd pudding is ready.
  • Serve it hot to children. If you want to eat bottle gourd halwa after cooling it, it can be eaten after keeping it in the fridge for some time.
